| Employee Accounts Student Accounts Employee Accounts- Computer accounts are created for any employee of Selkirk College who requests one.
- As many jobs require a computer account the employee's supervisor may request an account on behalf of a new employee so that the account will be created when the employee begins work.
- The username consists of the first initial of the person's first name followed by their last name. For example, James Brown would be assigned the username JBROWN.
- E-mail addresses are the username followed by @selkirk.ca. For example, the e-mail address for James Brown would be jbrown@selkirk.ca
Student Accounts- Students attending Selkirk College can request a computer account by filing in and signing the Computer User Agreement Acknowledgment form at the bottom of the Computer Lab Policies form which are available in Computer Services.
- Students who take courses requiring the use of a computer will have accounts created for them. Their instructor will review the Computer Lab Policies which go with their account.
- Student usernames are first initial of the student's first name followed by last name.
- In case of duplicates a username will be changed in some way to make it unique.
- For example, Julie Smith would be assigned the username: JSMITH
